The PowerStop is closely associated its dampening curve to the "ideal line" of an industrial shock absorber. By the special Spiral Groove Technology, smooth energy absorption will be started and the variation of the braking power is low. Thereby an exact position will be assured providing quick dampening cycles with a short stroke.
The characteristic curve of the spiral groove shows a continuous course of the throttle cross-section over the entire piston stroke. By this, in each piston position an ideal limit is realized and the energy consumption optimized. The masses to be moved can be smoothly and safely positioned even with slow speeds.
A further important advantage is realized by the Stroke-Course-Adjustment. In case the screw in depth, of the shock absorber into a housing, the dampening characteristic can be adapted individually to suit the application. Throttle bores, however, produce a graduated characteristic curve, with extreme variations in energy consumption.
