Technical Operation Principles

All clamping elements in the series MK / MBPS / BWPS / TKPS / AUPS / KBH and HK are mounted on floating bearings, which means that the lifting movements of the contact profiles can be carried out from either side.

The abrasion-free connection between the clamping element and the linear guide is created at the free surfaces of the guide rails. Series MK / MKS / AUPS / KWH and HK are designed exclusively for static clamping operations.  Series MBPS / BWPS / TKPS / KBH / MBES are suitable for dynamic use (brakes) due to their appropriate use of contact profiles.

Operating Principles

The principle behind the mechanical advantage is a simple wedge (trilateral prism), an acute angle for smooth and direct gear reduction.

Mechanical Advantage = N/P

• This single-gear method has a final position movement of approximately 40:1 (actual contact point movement)

• Force applied to the back of the wedge increases the pressure force with a perpendicular effect to the lateral surface

Although simple in principle, the entire working mechanism is comprised of high-tolerance, interdependent components.
